Important: If you find that you cannot perform a task listed below, contact your supervisor. Your ability to perform some of the tasks below might be restricted by your role.
Making changes to a running campaign is a common piece of the campaign management process. See the subsections below for more information.
Edit a campaign
Important: When you edit a campaign, make all creative edits before you save. Every time you make changes and save them, the campaign must be reviewed, resulting in an ad serving delay.
Note: If you want to update the Facebook page that is associated with a campaign, you can use the Rebuild Ads option. But we prefer it if you submit a ticket to iPromote Support.
Use this option to edit specific elements of an existing campaign, including ads, targets, and budget settings.
- Log in to the applicable account.
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- Search for and select the applicable campaign in the Campaigns List area.
- On the Overview page, click the edit icon beside the setting you want to edit. Edit settings to suit your needs.
- When you are done making all of your edits, click Save. Clicking Save puts the campaign into review.
For more information, see Step 1 - Business Details, Step 2 - Creative, Step 3 - Targets, and Step 4 - Budget.
Update a budget
Sometimes editing a campaign entails updating a budget. For example, this happens when a running campaign is upsold.
You might update the budget of a running campaign when you want to:
- Change one fixed package to another one.
- Change the budget amount of a dynamic package.
- Change budget amounts of a per-channel budget.
To update a budget, see the following steps.
- Log in to the applicable account.
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- Search for and select the applicable campaign in the Campaigns List area.
- On the Overview page, click the edit icon beside Budget.
- When the Budget module opens, edit settings to suit your needs.
- When you are done making all of your edits, click Save. Clicking Save puts the campaign into review.
For more information, see Step 4 - Budget.
Rebuild ads
Important: We DO NOT recommend using the Rebuild Ads option. Instead, see Edit a campaign.
Important: When you rebuild a campaign, make all creative edits before you save. Every time you make changes and save them, the campaign must be reviewed, resulting in an ad serving delay.
Note: If you want to update the Facebook page that is associated with a campaign, you can use the Rebuild Ads option. But we prefer it if you submit a ticket to iPromote Support.
Use this option to thoroughly refresh a campaign's ads. Rebuilding returns an existing campaign to the first step in the campaign building process. There we re-parse digital properties, collecting new images, text, and other information used in ad building.
- Log in to the applicable account.
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- Search for and select the applicable campaign in the Campaigns List area.
- When the campaign record opens, click Rebuild Ad.
- Follow the ad creation workflow to rebuild the entire ad(s).
To make small-scale changes to ads in an existing campaign, see Edit a campaign.
For more information, see Step 2 - Creative.
