After you enter your business details and select an objective, we automatically create a suite of digital ads. The suite of IAB compliant ads share a common look across ad channels.
However, you can customize any of these ads. Keep in mind that your outcomes will vary depending on what channels your objective uses and what effects you want your ads to have.
When you select a channel, creative settings on the Ad Builder page become applicable only to that channel. Use options like Style, Messaging, Ad Extensions, and Destination to get the result you want.
For more information, see subsections in Step 2 – Creative.
Creative overview by channel
The following table provides guidance on customizing creative. Use only those subsections that apply to the channels you've selected.
| Channel | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile | Style, messaging, and color selections made in the mobile channel carry over to the web channel and vice versa. Logos and images are shared across all channels. Ad extensions increase customer engagement with your ads and improve click-through rates (CTR). When the Text extension is enabled, consumers can click to text your business and request a quote, further information, appointment availability, and other actions. Prefer to use your own creatives? Upload your own instead of using the templated ads. Ad specs and formatting details are listed within each channel for you. | |
| Native | Native ads are designed to match the look and feel of the media format in which they appear, resembling the non-paid content. The additional Sponsored by field is required to distinguish it from editorial content. | |
| Search | Add and remove categories, or add a custom category for a unique business model. Manage details such as business phone number, location, and destination URLs. Add content like callouts and sitelinks to improve the quality of the your ads and increase CTR. Use the Edit button to edit responsive search ads. For example, because headlines and descriptions can be shown in any order, edit them so they make sense individually and in combination with one another. | |
| Social | Social ads appear in a wide variety of ad placements across Facebook and Instagram. Additional captions have been added to this channel to accommodate Meta ad requirements. The social ad preview includes Facebook Newsfeed, Facebook Single Image, and Instagram placements. | |
| Video | Select a video style and audio to match the tone of your ads. Prefer to use your own video? Upload your own instead of using the templated ads. | |
| Web | Style, messaging, and color selections made in the web channel carry over to the mobile channel and vice versa. Logos and images are shared across all channels. Multiple destination options are available and might vary based on your iPromote UI setup. If the objective of the campaign is to generate leads, then using a landing page or proxy allows conversion tracking for calls and form fills. If the customer does not have a website, or it’s low quality, then a landing page is a great option. Prefer to use your own creatives? Upload your own instead of using the templated ads. Ad specs and formatting details are listed within each channel for you. |
